Shahadah

 لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱلله

"Lā ʾilāha ʾillā llāhu Muḥammadun Rasūlu llāhi"

« There is no God but Allah and Muhammad ﷺ is his messenger »

Shahada, the 1st pillar of Islam, the assertion of faith, combining the themes of unity and mercy.

Swalaat

The 2nd pillar of Islam, Swalat is the obligatory Muslim prayers, performed five times each day:
before sunrise (Fajr), midday (Zohr), after the sun passes its highest (Asr), the late part of the afternoon (Maghrib), just after sunset and between sunset and midnight (Isha)

Zakaat

The 3rd Pillar of Islam is Zakāt, or alms giving or charity. Zakaat is the compulsory giving of a set proportion of one's wealth to charity. It is regarded as a type of worship and of self-purification.

Fasting

The 4th Pillar of Islam is Sawm, or fasting. Fasting takes place during Ramadan. The fast occurs from dawn to sunset each day during which time believers are expected to prohibit themselves from any food, drink, sexual intercourse, or smoking.

Hajj

The 5th Pillar of Islam is Hajj (pilgrimage). During one’s life, a Muslim whose health and finances permits, is required to make the pilgrimage to Mecca during the 12th month of the Islamic calendar.
